Junior Bison graduates receive scholarships

Congratulations to Frederick Sackey and Anthony Dyck both recipients of the 2014 Junior Bison Boys Basketball Scholarship.

The Junior Bison club strives to offer the best basketball experience possible to its members. As part of the membership the club includes a scholarship available to applicants entering their first year at the University of Manitoba and who have demonstrated a great commitment while playing or coaching in the club.

We would like to congratulate both Frederick and Anthony and their families for supporting and representing the Junior Bison Club for so many years. Anthony played six years in the club and is looking forward to studying at the University of Manitoba in September as a member of the football team. About his experience in the club, Anthony declares "it helped me to become a good teammate and a leader in my team" all coaches who have worked with Anthony praised his dedication and his sportsmanship.
Fred Sackey is currently involved as assistant coach in the program. The Vincent Massey graduate says "I have been influenced by the program through its philosophy of supporting young basketball players.""I will work towards building a program where players receive sound advice and direction to become accomplished basketball players but more importantly, positive members of society".

Our club is really proud of these ambassadors and we are wishing them the best in their future commitments.
